Before you hit the download button
This scene is a template to "quickly" create scenes with different themes, environments, ambiences, intro mini-scenes, randomised audio speech, quickdress outfits, etc.
>v23 is play-ready:
You can now use it too as a playing scene by adding a quickplace subscene, see the "# How to use this template" section for instructions and shared subscenes.
Major breaking changes versions history
This template went through many iterations to improve features, flexibility and organisation. Some of the changes were major breaking changes, others were small QOL updates and fixes. The instructions in this page follows the latest major version but some parts may still use the older versions naming or structure, do adapt accordingly when reading this page.
Latest major version: 22
Previous major version: 13
- Latest VaM 1.22.0.3;
- Persons at scale 1 for easier appearance changes;
- License is CC BY;
- When you load a appearance preset or clothing preset, press the button "clean fluids" to merge-load cum clothing back on the female;
- UI is compact, prettier (I think so), with improved usability and room for expansion if needed;
- VAMStory Director plugins replaced many logicbricks for increased editing flexibility and managing triggers;
- Sex slaps and Queef sounds;
- Optimized Soft Physics setup for more FPS by disabling SP when a female is not "in action" and disabling Glute Physics when the sex action does not need it;
- Randomization of speed in expressions for a more natural looking result (or sometimes the opposite ) ;
- Full compatibility with quickdress, quickspeech, quickmusic setups (see my guides);
- The female not "playing" (FFM template) should use a pose to keep FPS as high as possible, but you can of course make a animation for it though, do what you want;
- Facial expression options; use "no expressions" if you want to use a plugin for that purpose or other reasons;
- The scene is biased for a male Passenger VR experience, with little attention given to the male body or POV from other angles.
Female person plugins:
>v23:
Naturalis is active from the start as I changed my suggestion of positioning persons to instead positioning environments.
<v22:
The plugin Naturalis starts disabled. Why? So that you can set poses in Timeline without including the morphs from the plugin in the saved poses. See the following "How to use this template" section if you don't know what I mean by poses.
After you've saved the new poses for the sex actions go ahead and enable Naturalis.
Using really big dicks:
The starting positions for the sex animations have now extra space to allow the (ab)use of big dongs. Not all sex positions work well with huge penises (clipping), especially the BJ option will not like that at all.
Changing Male/Females to Males/Futa:
You can change them to your liking but naturally you'll need to make some adjustments to keep things working. Divining Rod, VAMMoan and Fluids101 are some plugins that you may need to readjust, and possibly the angle of thrust in some animations.
I made a guide to help in this process:

# How to use this template
>v23:
My current suggestion and how the template is proceeding in development is to position a environment instead of the persons to the environment. For this feature I added a subscene atom at position 0, 0, 0, named quickplace.
If you want to use some ready-made quickplace subscenes, I'm sharing some on my website along with the instructions:
If you want to make your own subscene environments and understand better the process behind them, have a read:
quickplace subscenes - Guides -
This guide presents a method you can use when making a scene of multiple person posed animations, to be able to load any number of environments in a modular concept. # update: there's a video in the extended guide linked below that showcases...
hub.virtamate.com
If you want to use the previous method to position the persons see below.
<v22:
Adding a environment should be easy for you, but then you need to reposition the persons to new places. This sounds challenging or likely to misalign the sex animations, but by using a subscene to move more than one person at a time this becomes a much easier task to perform.
I wrote about the subscene process in a previous template, you can read it under " ### Moving with subscenes", but now I also made a video to show the full process of moving people, and other atoms, with a subscene. it's easier than it sounds.
Alternatively you can also try positioning the environment instead of the persons.
Video keypoints and later version changes:
- Add a environment of some kind
- Add a subscene with a easy name to find in the parent atom list, like 123, AAA, etc
- Person Timeline: in the segment Pose click on a sex act animation
- Add a subscene and add the persons and the sex action UI to the subscene
- Move them to the new place
- Unparent them from the subscene
- Overwrite the pose in both person atoms
- In ControlUI/Misc, select plugin#1 (Timeline) and the same sex action as the above
- Drag the UImenu atom (above "hide UI") to move the entire UI close and in viewsight of the male (don't add it to the subscene to save time, it will mess it all up)
- Repeat for all sex actions
# The framework
2023 template scene | This template can be used with only a few changes or you can go much deeper. Some examples: Minimal The above positioning video is enough if you're only looking to have a environment with relocated sex positions. Minimal plus ? Use the quickdress atom to load controllable outfits. There's two in the guide, but even better is to make your own. Jam ? Add music assetbundles in the quickmusic brick or add Audiomate instead. If the latter don't forget to update the "Play Next" button (blue UI). Tweak ? Add new options in the OptionsUI (green buttons) for more customizations. Binge ⏯ Add a new segment for a new sex action or intro scenes. Vox ? The template uses the 4 folder speech assetbundle example as presented in the quickspeech guide and the quickspeech demo. If you have assetbundle collections like that you can load them in. Architect ?? You can go nuts and change everything you want if you understand how it works. Happy to help in the Discussion area. |
UI for sex actions and quickdress/music atoms A. Sex actions UI atoms: buttons for the sex action B. quickmusic atom: has a plugin to use audio assetbundles using the quickspeech approach, but you can also add other plugins like audiomate. If you do add Audiomate, don't forget to update the play button in Audio (vamstory plugin). There's also a quickdress atom somewhere mixed in. Read below on instructions on this topic. |
Control atoms The latest version doesn't use subscenes anymore, so ignore them in the picture. Starting from the top, the 2 green squares are quickspeech atoms that connect with the lower positioned SpeechControl atom. The almost simmetry shown is made of control atoms for atoms for actions related to Female (right side) and Female2 (left side). I will briefly mention the atoms shown on the Female side (right section) following a top rightdirection:
|
UImenu The selectable UImenu atom serves the template's general UI needs.

# More aspects of the template
HairSurface subscene:
This was removed from the template and is now a separate VAR.
This subscene is a collection of capsules positioned side-by-side to be used under a person's head when lying down. The capsules collide with hair and prevent it falling straight through other surfaces. The border capsules are visible to allow you position them correctly and have a sense of scale. Once you're done just change their alpha values to -1 to hide them and preferably lock the subscene to prevent accidental grabs. Use as many HairSurface subscenes as you need.
Surface (cube atom)
This Surface atom is there to help with collisions on some positions and not rely on the environment collision surfaces that can be frustrating or non-existing. Its control node is a target in the ControlMisc (#1) Timeline, the same as the UImenu and quickdress atoms. After you're done with positioning, set the material Alpha to -1 and remove the pos/rot grab option.
The FFM template has a second Surface atom for the second female. The second surface atom is more work but better to prevent clipping when changing from female1 to female2 positions and vice versa.
Soft Body Physics optimizer
A female in a sex action has glute soft physics off in some sex positions where I considered it unneeded. If you're struggling with FPS because of the glute soft physics and want to change them to off, go to ControlDoggyControl (etc) > Director (#0) > Poses action > Trigger Soft body option (glutes off or something like that).
Alternatively you can disable the BootyMagic plugin in the female plugins too, I think that works.
For the FFM template:
To have as much FPS as possible, soft body is deactivated completely when a female is the one not engaged in a sex action. See the ControlShared atom if you want to change this behaviour.
# quickdress, quickspeech, quickmusic
quickdress:
This atom called quickdress is used to load quickdress presets. There are two presets available in the guide, but you should try to make your own by following the instructions. If you do make presets, you can use all your favourite clothes in the scene and control them easily.
Press the button "clean fluids" to merge-load the cum clothing back on the person after you change clothing or appearance.
If you want my current collection of quickdress presets you can find them on my website.
quickmusic:
You can have a quickspeech preset-like approach or manual load a music assetbundle in the RandomSoundfromAB plugin. If you prefer sound files, you can add Audiomate in the atom. The blue UI (UIAudio) play button is for the RandomSoundfromAB plugin, but if you went the Audiomate option, just update the button to trigger Audiomate instead.
quickspeech:
This scene is using the quickspeech setup I describe in the guide of a audio assetbundle with 4 subfolders of audio that are triggered during the four parts of a sex animation. No audio assetbundle is included in this template, only the machinery to use one. The quickspeech demo does have a limited audio assetbundle in it, and I include it as a quickspeech preset in a separate VAR for you to try in the template.
loading presets:
Presets make it very fast to load and use audiobundles, and you can even use the UIAssist plugin to load them from a wrist flick. The preset cannot load the assetbundle in the person's plugins at the same time, that's why there's a "load voice" button in the blue UI (see spoiler below).
For the demo quickspeech preset provided as a VAR:
- On the quickspeech atom, load the preset in atani.quickspeech_audiobundle_demo.2.var:/Custom/Atom/Empty;
- Press the "load voice" button in AudioUI (blue) to trigger the assetbundle to load in the female person SoundfromAB plugin.
- General preset loading for a gazed atom called quickspeech
- Thumbnails will make it really nice
- You need to press the button "Load voice" to trigger the assetbundle loading in the person (comes from the quickspeech preset relay plugin)
making your audio assetbundles for the template:
If you make your own audio assetbundle with 4 subfolders - before, during, pre-cum, after - you can load the assetbundle in the female atom plugin SoundfromAB. Then in the quickspeech atom, update the existing but empty triggers to play randomly the subfolders from the loaded assetbundle. The speech audio will be played during the correct sex phase.
For structural changes you can find the control in the atom SpeechControl, but depending on how much you want to change you may need to go to other atoms too.
All this may sound (pun intended) complicated, and it is, but by following the guide and trying things out you can have multiple speech collections and easily swap them almost instantly and with little RAM usage. It may be plenty of work, mostly getting the sounds in the first place, but you'll be able to reach new levels of the VaM experience when you do.
# Repackaging notes
If you use this template and want to share it with others you'll need to add manually to the meta.json file the AshAuryn dependencies. They are used in the Timeline (#8) expressions but are not referenced in the scene to be included as a dependency when packaging to a VAR. Copy paste the listed in this template's meta.json, just make sure you don't miss a comma (,) there.
To be continued if...
you let me know what is missing or could be expanded.
