When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
Keeping with the theme of "easier" scenes, and continuing my break from the unfinished Halloween project, I present to you a three-minute scene starring Damarmau's incredible Leah.
There's not a lot new here. People who know my work will find a short, familiar riding scene set to some good music, as usual.
A huge thank you to SaiVam for not only porting over the fantastic "Mirror's Edge Apartment" environment, but then also supplying me with a copy of the obj so I could modify it for my taste. (Hint: It's about third of this scene's 300MB size.) The scene was great how it started but being able to get my own skybox and animation applied to the TV screen really made this scene pop for me.
Of course, you can turn that screen off, if you like. I see a few frames-per-second increase by turning the video off. I also have a "couch only" option that gains you another few FPS. You can also disable SoftBody Physics and the window/mirror with a couple of easy checkboxes.
I finally have a VR headset to test things with now, which means I can check my scenes before I publish. I would say that overall, I am pleased with this being my first VR-ready scene that I've tested.
That said, there is one part of the scene that I'm not super happy with. When the action "moves" to another spot on the couch later in the scene, you'll see what I mean. The shortest version of what's happening is that I'm moving and rotating the position of both the male atom and his head, and Embody isn't really built for that. The only way to keep the VR/Embody POV going to the right place with the correct angle is to "reset" Embody on the way. This introduces a couple of "skips" in the animation that I don't love, but it is what it is. I haven't been able to test "normal" possession of Attom yet, mainly because I don't know how! So that movement may or may not be a problem for those that choose not to use Embody.
Anyway! Other than that one part (that's totally my fault, since it's a limitation in VaM I was unaware of before I animated myself into a corner) I am pretty pleased with the results. I was thinking that I might make a version of the apartment where you can see more of the city while in POV (by rotating the couch) but I really wanted to get this released today. Maybe I'll do that in a V2!
Enjoy!

Not everyone will be credited by dependencies alone. I included a lot of the Free and CC-BY content in the package itself (the other reason the package is so large) to keep the dependencies down. I haven't decided yet if this was the best way to go about it, but here we are, regardless.

- Thank you to AcidBubbles for the usual suspects: Timeline, Embody, and Collider Editor. There's no making scenes without these.
- Silver Expression Tool by ClockwiseSilver brings Leah to life, and AshAuryn's Sexpressions/Expressions are the expressions I use to do it.
- As noted, I'm using a customized version of Damarmau's Leah in this scene. She's using a combination of callimohu's hair from the Anime Hair Pack and NoStage3's Long Backswept Ponytail. Her body's covered in Riddler's freckles and wrapped in RenVR's Samantha skin. Her makeup is custom, but as expected, her eyes are brought to you by Hunting-Succubus' Enhanced Eyes.
- Attom is rocking a beard from kemenate's Modular Beard Pack.
- Cum textures, effects, and other wet effects are brought to you by Molmark's Drips and Drops, WeebUVR's Cum Strands, Spacedog's Wet Bits, and hazmhox's Fluids 101.
- For all things audio, I used MacGruber's Life for the breathing, hazmhox's VAMMoan for the wet/slapping sounds, and LFE's Soundtrack Sync to keep the action perfectly timed to "Bury a Friend" by Bilie Eilish.
- Keeping that action aligned is ToumeiHitsuji's Divining Rod. What a wonderful plugin!
- Screenshots were enhanced by MacGruber's Supershot, included in the Essentials plugin suite.
- Last but certainly not least, the environment is a modified version of SaiVam's Mirror's Edge Apartment, and the skybox was a free asset downloaded from 360Cities.
Instructions
- Start and Stop are straight forward. There is an option to Start with POV (Embody) automatically enabled. Hitting Right Ctrl will also put you in POV, and Escape gets you back out.
- Pause and Resume buttons do exactly what you would assume.
- The three environment buttons allow you to choose between the apartment with the animation running on the screen, with the animation turned off, and with no apartment at all and just the couch. In my testing, you gain a few FPS turning off the screen, and a few more switching to just the couch.
- Quick checkboxes allow you to disable SoftBody Physics and the mirror/window reflection, for more FPS gains if you need them.
- A checkbox to disable the Soundtrack Sync for those who run into issues with stuttering music due to low framerate.
- Volume sliders for the music and for Leah's "voice" should allow you to get just the right blend of audio settings for your rig.
- Hide menu does exactly what you expect it to do.
