Get it? PALM Sunday? I slay me!

Keeping with the effort to do a scene for the monthly "theme," I present to you a four-ish minute ride with my Bunny Month look, Hazel.

1681399385.png

I'm back on track with my usual creative method - song first, scene idea second, followed by a look, a position, and then everything else.

1681396547.png

I've been kicking around the song RGB by the artist Scattle for some time. He's likely best known for making synthwave and synthpop tracks for Hotline Miami, Furi, and Super Meat Boy.

1681398589.png

When I originally heard the song, it sounded literally electric to me. I immediately wanted to put it to some strobe lights that would give the sense of arcing electricity. I figured I could probably animate it like I animated the light from fireplaces/campfires, but I also knew that it wouldn't match that electric beat if I did it that way. Enter hazmhox's VAM Audio Analyzer!

1681401389.png

I tried to use it on a couple of different lights here, but it just ended up being too much, especially when combined with PluginIdea's High-Performance Volume Lighting.

1681399473.png

That said, as cool as I think the strobe effect is with the electric vibe of the music, it's not without its issues. The biggest, most obvious issue is that people who are sensitive to flashing lights (epilepsy, etc) should absolutely disable the strobe effect with the UI toggle I've provided.

1681402085.png

The second effect is that the strobe effect with the volume lighting gets kind of strange at different refresh rates. On my 60Hz 4k Monitor, I think it looks great. In VR at whatever it's refreshing at, I think it looks great. On my 1440p monitor at 120Hz? It gets.... weird. Some strange light "tearing" is present, and the color gradient seems off for some reason. Your mileage may vary, but it's something to be warned about.

1681401881.png

Feel free to disable the strobe, but know that the lighting without it is kind of lacking. The scene seems a little boring to me with it turned off, but that's just me!

1681401678.png

The whole scene clocks in at about four-and-a-half minutes long, and I was able to crank it out pretty quickly this time. I'll be the first to admit a lack of polish in spots, which is pretty normal when I am making scenes on this quicker timeline, but I've tried to make the animation pretty simple to avoid really ugly movements.

1681402243.png

In my Elf Month scene, Magic Mushrooms, one user reported a strange bug with the penis always being "off" in the scene, and I was never able to track down the cause. I used a combination of Divining Rod and the "Erect" morph, like I usually do, but it got me worried about the underlying issue. No one else reported it, but I did leave out the Divining Rod plugin this time around, just in case. Hopefully this won't cause alignment issues for the rest of you!

I'm overall pleased with this scene, and excited to share it with everyone! I always appreciate feedback, positive or otherwise, so drop a comment if you dig what you see here. Enjoy!

Directions

Start and Stop buttons are exactly what they say they are. The POV button will enable and disable POV view using Embody. There are three volume sliders for the various audio in this scene. They're for the music, the "sex sounds" (squishes, BJ sounds, and slaps from VAMMoan) and Voice is to control the moaning/orgasm audio volume. The Strobe UI toggle will enable or disable the strobe light that kicks in when the music is really thumping. Hide Menu hides all of the above buttons, for those that find them distracting.

Credits

The look is my own Hazel created for this month's Bunny theme. This look uses ddamn's Bun Hair 2, Damarmau's Vianne textures, Riddler's Skin 2 textures, WeebUVR's Nipple Piercings, and though I removed it for this scene, the original look has a belly button piercing from BooMoon's Piercing Pack.

The audio and video effects are accomplished using PluginIdea's High-Performance Volume Lighting, and hazmhox's VAM Audio Analyzer.

Bringing our two lovers to life are a bunch of different plugins. ClockwiseSilver's Silver Expression Tool is driving Hazel's facial expressions, and I'm using a few of AshAuryn's Sexpressions in there. She's also using Acid Bubble's Glance to keep her eyes where they belong, hazmhox's VAMMoan for all of her audio, and cleaning up those jagged edges is Hunting-Succubus' Female Body Smoother Tessellation plugin. Don't forget everlaster's TittyMagic working its... magic, MacGruber's Life making small movements for Attom's head, and Acid Bubble's Collider Editor cleaning up some of those unsightly morph/collider differences. I also recently re-added TomeiHitsuji’s Divining Rod to help with some alignment issues.

The cum effects are courtesy of hazmhox's Fluids 101, and I'm using Blazedust's ParentHoldLink to keep that atom where it belongs. The cum textures come from Molmarks Drop and Drop collections for Belly and Chest.

Acid Bubbles' Timeline is running the show, as usual, and I use SpawnPoint to get the camera to go where it belongs. If I ever decide to add a camride to this scene, SpawnPoint will be invaluable, instead of just a convenience.

Uncredited in dependencies are MacGruber's Essentials, which I use for the wonderful screenshots, and GiveMeAdderalandICode's Controller Presets along with AcidBubbles' Keybindings to help me speed up animating complex/large movements with Timeline.

The music, as mentioned, is Scattle's great song RGB.

If I've missed anyone with my credits above, please reach out to me and I will correct it as quickly as possible! Any oversight here is absolutely unintentional, as the fantastic content providers above are the only reason I can make the scenes I do. Thank you to everyone who contributes their assets and plugins to make this sort of thing possible!

hey . just wanted to say thank you. i have no background in these kind of sandbox engine or p*rn games in general. i am more intertested in the technical aspects of how this works and less in fullfilling my fantasies in VAM. i am mainly here because i saw a scene from vam randomly on a discord of a friend and could not believe that you can make human bodies look this good in a consumer level software. So i am really interested in what all the magic is, what goes into a scene like yours, compared to some... well mid / low level scenes i have also seen on here, where the models look very... "sims video game" - kind a way. and thankfully you provided little notes detailing what plugin / asset / modification does what in your scene. really thankful for it. i am trying to slowly recreate all of the knowledge and skills you guys learned into a scene of my own just to see how it looks. thanks again.

Thank you so much for your comment. Getting started in VaM has a very steep learning curve, but there are a lot of good tutorials out there to help that I wish had been around when I got started.

There are two things that I think are most important for making the characters look lifelike in VaM. The first is lighting. Properly lighting the scene and the characters can make all the difference in the world. I personally use little to no environmental lighting so the only sources are the lights you choose yourself.

Second is just a catch-all "attention to detail." It's the little things that people will remember, so when animating, it's important to add little things (a smirk, a slow closing of the eyes, a small slap or grab) and to remove the things that break realism (jerky movements, eyes that don't look where they should, repetitive movements without variation or imperfection.) Looping animation is great, but humans are pretty good at noticing patterns, so we'll spot the fake movements in religion every time.

Good luck on your adventure here. Remember that there are LOTS of people who can offer advice, and tons of scenes to deconstruct so you can see how others get stuff done.

Easily one of my favorite creators in the community. Man I'm miles from where you are with regard to smooth animation. It's kinda depressing. Lol. Seriously, excellent work. (when she slaps his hand away! Hot!)

Can't wait to see what's ahead.

Thank you so much! Smooth animation is really just about time (and maybe just a splash of OCD.) Keep animating! And keep bringing us those rad skyboxes!

Fantsatic scene. Atmospheric and erotic from the build up til end with an eye for details. The easy to handle user menu additionally giving meaningful options while not being overloaded. A clear recommendation for everyone here. Thumbs up!

Thank you so much! I'm always jealous of people who have access to mocap, and even moreso those who do a great job with it, like you guys! I appreciate the complimentary review. :)
