I can tell you one thing about it that you might be able to check. If I sit a person with the Timeline 248 on a computer chair and put their arms on the armrests, the right arm usually sticks to the backrest, which is very difficult to detach. Perhaps it is also due to the asset e-girl bedroom, because it happens all the time. Not at all with the 247. Nevertheless, sometimes I can no longer move some bones with the 248 as if frozen. I just went back to 247 to continue
 
Thanks, that's something to go on. I'll try and we'll see! So, new scene, add the CUA with e-girl room asset, add a person atom, place them in a sitting position. then I add Timeline 247, add hand targets, everything works; I add 248, add hands targets, and I can't move the arms. Right?
 
thanks, I get it, maybe you have any ideas how to capture finger movements for recording in the timeline?

You need Leap Motion, and if you're on Desktop, you'll need the DesktopLeap plugin (otherwise it's built-in VaM), Embody (for fingers possession) and Timeline has a shortcut in "Add Targets" to add all fingers at once and switch the hand mode in the settings for you.

I still don't really understand how it works, how to capture finger movements from another animation (without leapmotion), where they are already written.
(May be attached to the fingers "empty atom" and track it in the Timeline? just how to attach it because the control points of the fingers are not available.....)
We need to somehow get access to the finger bones of the atom "person".
 
I think I get it.
it is necessary to make the "Embody" track not the "Leap Motion" fingers but the fingers of the atom person.
 
Ah sorry I'm confused now, you want to capture from another animation? From an MMD or from another Timeline animation? It might be simpler to create a question (tag me so I can see it) with more details, or ping me on Discord and I'll do my best to help.

- Give priority to grab when animating a grabbed control
- When parenting is enabled, behave like ParentHoldLink; continuously update the position even when Timeline is not playing. Can be disabled in Options.
- Global weight storable (reduces the "strength" of Timeline). Weight affects distance traveled, not physics.
- Additional log when a pose is applied on transition
- Show an error message when...

Hi. First off thank you for creating this plug in. It's helped me do things I've not been able to do before.

I'm having a problem using vamoverlays by hazmhox. I have a simple scene with one person and that person changes posses a few times in the scene. I'd like to fade to black during the transitions however in the sequence tab there is nothing in the box labeled "overlays" and I'm not able to check the "fade out" box. I've tried loading the vamoverlays plug-in onto different atoms with no success. Including an "empty" atom. Loading into the empty atom is the only instance that will allow me to access the overlays ui however it still won't allow me to access it in timeline. I see in your wiki guide it states to "inform timeline which atom has the plug in" but I'm not seeing where that is done at.

I'm a bit of a layman at this so any help would be appreciated. Thank you
 
Add an Empty atom with VAMOverlays on it:

Then the Empty is there (if I named it differently it would appear with that other name)

Anyone know how to import animations? I've tried to get it to work, but there's always an issue... If I export my own animations and import immediately back to the same scene, it works, just makes duplicates of every anim since they all have the same names..

However if I try to export from one of my other animations , like swap the two actors positions, I can't import because it says the body parts are taken, even if everything has the same name, same layer, differen't layer, different names, nothing seems to allow imports.... I hope I'm even making sense...
 
Yeah export import really needs some love. It's very tricky right now because it expects to have a fully compatible layers setup. I hope to provide a different import experience in the future where each "import" has it's own layer instead of trying to merge it into the existing layers. But I don't have a timeline (lol) for that.
 
So, I finally figured out how to import an animation to one of my characters using this awesome plugin. The animation plays great. But, when I save the scene, the animation stops and doesn’t load and auto play when I load the scene back up, even though I have play on load and loop switched on. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

I have no idea what goes wrong but I have a suggestion.
If you make a Collisiontrigger and set the atom to where you have the timeline plugin - then timeline plugin as target, and then "play" as the action - you could put that right at where the player start in the scene. Then the player would then trigger the animation at load.
You could do the same with a button if you want to start it manually.

It's a work around I know but I do this all the time because I can control everything. Someone else might have a better answer to your direct question.
