• Hi Guest!

Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

Details about the security patch can be found here.

Hello, love this plugin, thank you very much for your hard work!

I just have a question, is it possible to take the SuperShot screenshot with the ReShade active? It doesn't include it when I take screenshots through the plugin.

Supershot and ReShade are not compatible. You could attempt to enable Nvidia DSR for VaM and do this on graphics driver side. Of course, it will be horribly slow as would be active the entire time and not just for the screenshot.

The Supershot is a really good plugin, but lately, it's been crashing the game (it freezes) and the photos come out blank. How can I figure out what’s causing it? I’ve tried resetting the plugins, the hair, but when I zoom in on the face, it crashes. Sometimes I manage to take the photos, and other times, they just come out blank. How can I figure out what the trigger is? My PC has 12GB of RAM, and I started thinking it might be my PC, but I’m not sure. My virtual memory is set to:

The problem is most likely VRAM, not RAM. So, memory of your graphics card. In the UI the plugin shows you how much VRAM it eats, that can be up to around 6GB, depending on the settings, if I remember correctly. That VRAM usage is on top on whatever VAM needs for your scene and what other applications need. SuperShot increases image quality, but you pay for it in insane VRAM usage.

MSAA is just a plain multiplier in VRAM usage and it defaults to 8x for example. Reducing the resolution multiplier helps, too, of course.
If you don't want to reduce quality, you could try to set the resolution multiplier to 1x, but instead increase the image resolution by the same factor instead. You get a high-res image that you can downscale yourself with external tools, rather than having SuperShot do the downscaling for you. Taking a screenshot will take much longer, but it reduces VRAM usage by 1/3.

I only have 2 GB of VRAM (GTX 950), I know it's not much, but I've been able to generate fully detailed 4K images with your plugin. The white parts are what the plugin generates when it freezes. In the settings, I set everything to full except for the MSAA, which I left at x4.

How i use super video to make video?
There is a 2-part tutorial on video recording among my other tutorials here. You should probably watch both, but the second part mentions SuperVideo:

Note that SuperVideo does not record video, that's done with external tools like OBS. SuperVideo just increases the image quality for what is shown/captured at the cost of performance.

I've got a problem. When i'm using post magic and AmbienAclusion enabled, i can see ambient oclusion effect through my persons.
I've described situation more detail here: https://hub.virtamate.com/threads/have-some-grpahic-problem.61598/
Quoting the description:
(Experimental) Ambient Occlusion: Screenspace Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) darkens creases, holes, intersections and surfaces that are close to each other. Does not work correctly with characters, which makes it useless.
