Question FBX in Unity is see through.

The FBX surface normal's are see through. Exported via blender. On the obj it appears fine. Is there a step I skipped?

I've been trying to add bones to this braid and in blender it works fine up until the work flow in unity.

It might just be the materials. I found sometimes the materials get messed up in Unity when I load stuff in and I get transparent rather than opaque materials.
Check out the material shader settings etc.
