Question Animated deforming geo in Asset Bundle

Hi all,

I've been coming back to this problem for a few months and keep hitting a wall. I have minimal experience in Unity but have been able to create CUAs for VAM of both static geometry and animated rigs. I cannot work out how to do the same for animated deforming geo. I have tried importing an animated FBX into Unity (this was my process for animated rigs) however I don't believe Unity can read this kind of animation data from an FBX.

I was able to get the animation working correctly in Unity by importing as alembic, but from what I understand the issue with this is that the alembic animation is just being streamed in Unity. In any case the asset bundle created from the alembic file is empty when brought into VAM.

I'd appreciate any help with this!
