Hi ,
After closer Browsing the Q&A ection i found the Guide
https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/porting-blender-models-to-vam-wrap2020-tutorial.3312/
Its just wow how much work is in the VAm Models if this is the usual Workflow.
Is that always such massive Workflow?
If i buy or Patreon a VAM...
I'm new to everything, Vam, Daz, Blender, Facegen. But I'm interested in creating characters in Vam in the near future. I created a character in FaceGen and then ran it in Vam, however the texture is not very accurate and I want to edit it.
-My specific purpose is to see the .obj file that...
A guide on how to get OBJs exported from VAM into Substance Painter with UDIM support.
Requires: Blender, and any editor that can search and replace in a textfile (OBJ)
I'm confused. I can face generate in DAZto Gen 8 and then used a plugin to create a Gen 2 character but it just seems to 'fit' the Gen 3/8 skin to the model. The Gen 2 skin texture doesn't seem to be anywhere. How can I export a Gen 2 character to import into VAM? I can use Blender, if I learn...

You can export the gen2 model from daztoblender and make your adjustments in blender. You'll find some help somewhere here https://hub.virtamate.com/search/11901825/?q=daz+to+blender&o=relevance ( I don't know if the genitals would need to be split in blender or daz but there is an answer...
Same Guide with pictures
1) DOWNLOAD "T-Pose-Gen2.zip" AND EXTRACT TO "%Documents%\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Presets\Poses"

Hi ,
I have created earring in blender, if i add bones to jewelry in blender and bring toDAZ and import into VAM, VAM does not detect bones and physics on earrings movement with body does not work. I have seen some creators managed to import jewelry as clothing item with physics enabled. Any...
...a mesh with tons of issues so I've just closed it to re-try when I actually need it.
But I know that when we are going the "vam morph -> daz -> blender -> daz" route, we need to scale down by 100x when exporting from daztoblender, and then back 100x up when exporting from blendertodaz.
The tool is great to fix the eye deformation.
For my remaining problems on the base mesh I ended up fixing it in Blender.
With default OBJ import / export settings this will fail.
Here is what I used - these settings worked for me without Morph Loader complaining about the mesh.
Obviously you...
Are you wanting to import pre-made scenes in DAZ, or build your own? As mentioned above - if you're going to create your own scenes - learning Blender is far more effective than DAZ. If you want to simply import the work of other artists into VAM - then DAZ is the way to go. Either way can be...
Yeah for the classic way I just choose Poser and never had to do anything about the scale.
Tried importing with Custom at 10% with the object generated by this script as well, just to see the G2F now shrinks ;)
Whats 3.0 in my screenshot?
Its the exported skinned female from VAM, with an...
...the speed, any problem is a final blenderto fix.
About when you convert A pose to T post, if you import the g2f base mesh with "Daz Importer" or "Daz ToBlender Bridge" then you would have the rig already, then just do the pairing in blender or daz transfer, not really need to setup your own...
Sorry if this is a dumb question but if this was a model from blender did you have to port it into DAZ for it to work in VAM, or was it ported from Blender then to VAM without using DAZ? (Nice model by the way).
there exists a bridge from DAZtoblender. There you can export and import morphs and expressions from DAZtoblendertoo. Don´t be confused, when there is a hint, that this bridge is only for G3 or G8. It works with G2 too.
When importing an exporting toblender use the wavefront (.obj)(legacy) option as im told theres issues with the non legacy option in latest blender.
If the mismatch still happens in daz then you have used a tool in blender that changed the models vert count/order.
Best to do a testrun first...
To keep it short I want to be able to make new/ recreate characters but im not sure what software I need. Ive seen daz, blender, and unity mentioned but do i need anything else? are all 3 of these needed? what resources would i need to get for these to be VAM compatible? Thanks. sorry if its...

I use that method too ,as you can go in edit mode of blender with the character selected .Alt+A to deselect all vertices
use as the vertex icon , type in eye Select leye , reye or both and go on select .
then its just a matter of fine tuning the eyes to fit .
