Based on discussions on the hub and my experiences working with the alt futa plugin, I share my gender switching routines as a demo version.
What it does
Switching from female to alt futa and back based on one button click (or timeline trigger) without breaking textures, trigger links etc. This setup also allows individual "behaviour" for the futa.
Use it to create your own working alt futa setups!
What is used
According to my experiences, the alt futa plugin requires certain conditions when being implemented. This concerns loading sequences, order of loading, selection of correct textures and reloading the alt futa plugin each time you setup your futa.
The following steps are done to load the futa appearance on your model:
1. Load futa appearance preset
2. Wait until the appearance is loaded
3. Normal Load your Base plugin preset
4. Wait until Base plugin preset is loaded
5. Merge Load your Futa plugin preset
6. Wait until Futa plugin preset is loaded
7. Trigger other stuff (e.g. trigger erection level or hide material (for clothed models), see note 1 below)
The following steps are done to load the female:
1. Load female appearance preset
2. Wait until the appearance is loaded
3. Load Base plugin preset
Further noteworty stuff
Note 1: The second person and its timeline animation is needed to have timeline which is always present and thus keeps triggers without breaking. If you trigger elements of the alt futa plugin or elements of the alt futa plugin preset directly, these links will break each time the alt futa plugin preset is removed. This can be avoided by triggering to play an (empty) timeline segment in the second person (e.g. "FutaAction") while there is a timeline segment of the same name in the alt futa plugin preset. Thanks to timeline logics, the segments with the same name always launch simultaneously. Futa related triggers are thus put into the timeline ("FutaAction") within the futa plugin preset.
Note 2: Do not load the alt futa plugin preset with "hide material" state active. It will remove or blacken gens textures.
Note 3: The pauses in the timeline animations are needed. Do not start loading the alt futa plugin preset before the appearance (textures) is loaded.
Note 4: I could not manage to get a setup running without removing and re-adding the alt futa plugin. Just deactivating and activating led to texture loss and weird behaviour of the alt futa plugin UI.
Let me know if you have a better way of doing this. Your feedback is welcome.
