I get terrible flickering in VAM (in VR) when there are shadows.. so let's say I'm watching a scene where light goes on and off and jumps between different characters (like in lapdance scenes with multiple characters), then I get white little lines flickering all over the spot that just went dark. Or yesterday I had a scene where I was in a pretty dark room at night with white neon tubes on the ceiling and sometimes when I moved my head it would flicker up there from the light. So it seems to be a problem with where shadows and lights come together or so.

It doesn't occur with virtual desktop but with meta link. With meta link I was able to get rid off it by turning off ASW, but somehow it came back despite ASW still being deactivated. And I'm not sure of buying into VD since it has the behaviour of making things blurry when they move (or when I move the camera) and I wasn't able to get rid off it despite spending lots of time yesterday with finetuning the settings. And I can't try more or I get past the 2 hour limit and lose my right to refund. So I'd like to fix this with meta link...

It looks something like this (taken from the internet), just that I don't have it in bright scenes, but in dark scenes and these little "stairs" that flicker are white/bright:

I hope some of you know this problem and how to fix it.. between Steam VR, VD and Meta Link, Meta has the most clear image apart from this issue.

Can you check the lights and see what are their setups? ( auto / pixel etc )
Can you check how much pixel lights you have authorized in the settings?

By "how much pixel lights" you mean pixel light count? I tried it with minimum, maximum and anything inbetween.

I tried it with all settings and different scenes, it didn't make a difference. It also doesn't happen with Steam VR or Virtual Desktop, so I don't think VAM is the problem but some setting with Meta Link.
Yesterday, I tried out almost everything in the Ocolus Debug Tool for my Quest 3 as well as it's software settings, and nothing got rid off the problem. I'm inclined to believe there is no solution..

I'm not sure if you know this, but VD supports the link cable now, you have to opt in the beta on the meta store. I would just delete meta from your pc, also you need to make a bat file to launch vam.

I couldn't get rid off VD's blurriness when moving the camera, so VD isn't an option for me.
