Nora is wandering the wasteland looking for her lost son, a merchant told her that she can seek information from a detective in New vam city. The merchant ran away as the supermutants appeared and did not give him directions to New Vam city.
However, that same night, she met a wastlander, a little crazy because he thought he was a character from a comic book called Nordgrak The Barbarian, and he made her a deal: he would help her get to New Vam city in exchange for her help "polishing his sword".
