For the life of me, I can't figure out how to install this scene. I've downloaded both downloads including the addonpackages, but I can't find the scene anywhere. I'm not sure what to do but would appreciate any help.

it's not an addonpackage, and should be under saves->scene

deleted some junk files reducing the filesize
added some missing animations for stripping
added sounds for certain positions
updated ui incorrect info
bed collision now so less clipping/slightly buggy for some poses
CUM now defaults to face
AI cum now waits longer for the initial spurt, about 10 seconds
new animation variants
more subtle cum alterate for facial that's randomly chosen on COF (different endings sometimes is the goal)

BIG update for TFA, animations/environments/starships/cum system overhaul

improvements to doggy3 animation
added (thanks to farger) the century eagle starship to the rockcave environment
facial cum system improvements - less delay between spurts, spurts are now randomized so there are hundreds of facial combinations! animation is less messy overall with only 4 or 5 spurts instead of 9
organized categories for environments
ship flyovers are far less frequent now (distracting)
speeder env updated with new assets from Farger

Your add-on packages in the separate file have a lot of files that are either duplicated or have filenames that break the convention of VAR package naming and cause an error, e.g.
AnalogueBob.BJ_Deluxe.1 (1).var - this is obviously a duplicated file from your system that has kept the bad file name

Duplicated files: the Oronan.Bob files e.g. Oronan.Bob_02.1 - Copy.var through to Oronan.Bob_B10.1 - Copy.var
These will also cause an error due to the non-standard VAR package naming

It could do with a clean-up but would that break the scene, i.e. is your code referencing the "bad" files?

Also it seems that if you are happy enough to ask us to install over 3GB of additional VAR packages that your code, morphs etc could at least be VAR packaged, even if the sound files aren't. I still can't run the scene after all this time because it asks to overwrite so many of my existing files. Last time I tried it made a mess of my VAM. Maybe it's because I've had VAM running so long I've a ton of old files in there but I can't risk over-writing stuff in case it breaks some "classic" scenes or, worse, the whole of my VAM (it made some scenes go nuts last time I installed it, it was a big mess it took me a while to undo but fortunately I was able to restore from a backup).

I really want to see this scene working properly but I just wish you would consider making it a proper VAR file one day so I don't have to overwrite anything.

I'm going to clean it up someday even more - thanks, I've removed those (copy) references. I'm not seeing the BJ one, must be in reference to an older version or something.

One reason I release files instead of a var is I inject my dependencies at runtime. So meshed's var builder doesn't know which ones to add. So I would have to manually add them to the var and remember it every time I release a new version.

I'm going to have to write a script to build a zip file then convert it to a var file, then programatically change all the references from /folder/ to var/folder/ for all my content. And update my script to match and retest. I can probably knock it out in 16 hours or so if I sat down and really tried, and I probably will eventually.

In the meantime I will move some things into vars that can be moved and clean up what i have for 2.3

How long ago was that? Back in ancient times I had adamant's player that screwed up installs, but that's since been removed and VH34 now uses built-in lipsync. If you dig through the file structures in versions since 1.0 I've vastly reduced stuff to mostly just 98% my personal files, next release I'll aim to get that even lower.

Thanks for the feedback, that is really promising! I am so looking forward to giving it a try again. Yes I think it was the adamant player that was one of the things that messed it up. I feel more confident in giving it a go after reading that. There were also morphs I think that I had different versions of, perhaps I will just take the ones out that are different and back them up as the try to overwrite and keep my fingers crossed.

FYI the oddly named files are in the "UNIVERSAL ADDONPACKAGES FOR ALL CONTENTS" mega zip download:

Thanks, I do get angry at people sometimes, but it's usually only when they are being ignorant or cruel or unfair. Like one guy just said 'the ui is too big and ugly' 1 star, even though there's a button to hide the entire thing if he spent 5 seconds reading. but im happy to talk about things to improve.


The adamant issue spawned from the fact that when I first created this project, it was for my personal use, and I had just hacked my logic on top of adamant's lipsync utility. When I split it out from his, I used the same namespace, which for whatever reason vam did not like. Adamant's player is no longer in use and I use vam's built-in lipsyncing now.

So I'm very confident you'll have no problem this time, unless you have poses or emotion presets with the exact same names as mine, you should be OK. Seriously just have a look at what is in the zip file you download it's far less than it used to be. There's still some useless outdated shit in there i will remove next release. but I cut down on it all the time.
