Sometimes I want to rate something, but have no idea what to write.

Would it be possible to make the text for positive ratings optional?

Write what you like or didn't like. I think I once just wrote "Yesss" for someone.

For some things users should make the effort to put in the work letting their honesty speak. At least we don't have to give five full detailed reviews before you can post something and have it show as released🤣. If I released a creation and it got 1 star I pretty much would like to know why tho🤣.

Taking the opposite view, I think ratings should be gone and just have reviews. A 5 star rating on a resource essentially groups anything from excellent to ok, it's kind of useless.
A review on the other hand can be really helpful to the creator, even if it's pointing out lots of problems, without the "perceived as trash" rating of less than 4 or 5 stars.

The struggle is real... overthinking is a disease. Sounds silly, if you think about it...

This is correct, anything other than + / - is arbitrary in this context. You can sort by ratings in ascending or descending, but you can't filter anything between the two endpoints of the spectrum.

I think reactions are a more trustworthy metric... However, it becomes ambiguous when it goes beyond the + / - or (thumb up / thumb down).
