Has this been abandoned since the update? I get the same black screen when merging. and it wont finish loading when trying to load first

Yeah I'm pretty sure VamXFan gave up on this. You'll have to roll back to a previous version of Vam For it to work. I can't recall what version though.
Another user ZHFX has developed a VR recorder but it's Patreon subscription based. It's a bit steep on the price but I can vouch that he is constantly making the plugins better and adding more. I'm always impressed with his updates, what is why I continue to support him.

Would be awesome if the author was able to update the plugin to the latest version. I can't get this to work, only a black screen after merge loading.
