Reviewing the review system
Today I tried my first review after the remodel, and here is some feedback:
- Clicked the Like, which opens the "Leave a review (optional)", wrote below and clicked submit review:
- Nothing happened instantly or after a few seconds
- I notice the animation on the top right that I recognize, but it's very easy to not see this and it takes several seconds to finish
- When it finish there's a notice on top that the review was added, but nothing happens on the page. Where's my review?
- If I don't reload the page, and click again the "Like", it unlikes and there's no review text anymore, but I also don't see my review where I would expect
- If I reload the page then I see my review
- If I got confused on point 4 and submitted another review text, then when reloading the page I have 2 reviews but I only see 1 review
- After reviewing and reloading the page:
- If I click "Like", which takes my previously clicked "Like", my review is gone from the Reviews subpage
- If I clicking again "Like" to hope to bring back my previously removed review, but not add any text, my old review does not come back, it's effectively removed
- Other notes:
- It was not clear to me how I could leave a like without a review, which is by clicking the X button, but since the action of pressing the Like/Dislike button opens the panel, it is unclear for the user if clicking the X means that the Like/Dislike is also cancelled
- When the Like or Dislike is pressed, it shows only the single button in white and removes the other option, and that makes unclear if the person pressed it before or not as there's no point of comparison, one has to memorize that white means chosen
- If the above confusion leads to a removal of the review, that's not good
- Just clicking "Like/Dislike" with no review feels the same as clicking an emoji. This probaly has a impact somewhere on lists, but for a user there's no noticeable difference between a "Like" and a emoji.
