Reviewing the review system

Today I tried my first review after the remodel, and here is some feedback:
  • Clicked the Like, which opens the "Leave a review (optional)", wrote below and clicked submit review:
    1. Nothing happened instantly or after a few seconds
    2. I notice the animation on the top right that I recognize, but it's very easy to not see this and it takes several seconds to finish
    3. When it finish there's a notice on top that the review was added, but nothing happens on the page. Where's my review?
    4. If I don't reload the page, and click again the "Like", it unlikes and there's no review text anymore, but I also don't see my review where I would expect
    5. If I reload the page then I see my review
    6. If I got confused on point 4 and submitted another review text, then when reloading the page I have 2 reviews but I only see 1 review
  • After reviewing and reloading the page:
    • If I click "Like", which takes my previously clicked "Like", my review is gone from the Reviews subpage
    • If I clicking again "Like" to hope to bring back my previously removed review, but not add any text, my old review does not come back, it's effectively removed
  • Other notes:
    • It was not clear to me how I could leave a like without a review, which is by clicking the X button, but since the action of pressing the Like/Dislike button opens the panel, it is unclear for the user if clicking the X means that the Like/Dislike is also cancelled
    • When the Like or Dislike is pressed, it shows only the single button in white and removes the other option, and that makes unclear if the person pressed it before or not as there's no point of comparison, one has to memorize that white means chosen
    • If the above confusion leads to a removal of the review, that's not good
    • Just clicking "Like/Dislike" with no review feels the same as clicking an emoji. This probaly has a impact somewhere on lists, but for a user there's no noticeable difference between a "Like" and a emoji.
The resource where I mistakenly submitted 2 reviews but only one shows is this one:

Thanks for your hard work on this

The Druuna scene has no gallery, but has large inline images on the overview page:
The Busty Goth scene has a gallery, but no inline images, only attachments:
This is how I'd like it to look:

I know I did something wrong posting them, but I'd like to know the proper method for getting a gallery on the resources page and the large inline images on the resource overview.

Edit your resource.

Everyone can already use Gifs for their avatar. We just didn't announce it because there was some concern about overloading the server if everyone tried uploading gifs at once. I'm surprised no one commented on my own avatar?
Mine is never animated. It just stays there looking like a bloody jpeg... I think the only animated gifs I've seen are Podflower's sometime ago and yours🤔

Thank you for this feedback. This will help us make some improvements.

To clear up some of the confusion -- Clicking the "Like" button again after already having submitted a review is essentially the same as permanently deleting your review and removing your "Like". It's a "start over" action.

Several people have mentioned their dissatisfaction with the different types of metrics (favorites, likes, reactions) and the confusion this poses. While I agree, and would love to have one metric, I'm not sure how that can be done without angering some while making others happy.

How will it feel for resource owners who have a lot of favorites but very few reactions? Or those who have tons of reactions but no reviews? There is also no way to objectively quantify a combined metric into one single number, as there's no way to assign a percentage of "importance value" to likes, reactions, or favorites. They are simply different.

If anything, I personally would prefer to remove reactions as a metric and simply leave it as something cute that you can do to leave a smile for the creator of the resources to say "thanks". The problem with this is that the likes and favorites are too new, and many older resources rely on their reaction counts in order to gain visibility. I don't think any major changes could be made for some time until those other systems gain traction.

The only conceivable way I could see this working is if the community as a whole agreed to allow reactions to be turned into "likes" as a one-time conversion, and then we remove reaction scores entirely. If you think that's a possibility, we could run a poll for a month or so and see.

Sometimes less is more, and that's not a joke dear Miss/Mrs AshAuryn :)

With infinite scrolling on when viewing your own resources, other creator works show up at the end of yours. Is that meant to be?

Also surely some of my models are missing from this view🤔

EDIT Ok I had to turn off infinite scrolling off, jump to the other page with the missing models and then they showed up when I turned infinite scrolling on and the other creator's stuff didn't show up.
