Low res shadow/Shadow stripping when using directional lights

So, when using directional lights I get this really obvious and bad shadow stripping as if the shadow map was super low res, doesn't matter if I use Unity Asset Vamifier or if I change the quality of shadows (although both of these can make it look slightly better but not enough, the pic linked here is the best scenario), changing the render mode doesn't help either.

Directional light is pain to work with... from flickering, low res shadows, to halo/glow artifacts around hair.

It also depends on asset quality.
If there is no light block on ceiling, you can add cube atom (alternative: any non-transparent panel) above ceiling to block light,
same if something is wrong with floor or walls (seams/light bleed).
