Hi Guest!
Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.
Details about the security patch can be found here.
Major update for VirtualLock. Solving some old issues and allowing you better to define where the player is allowed to look at. You can now define a whole focus area, not just a single point. The reasoning here is that staring at a small point (e.g. the face of your mistress) for a couple of minutes in VR can cause your eyes to "defocus". You can actually loose the "3D" effect, despite being in VR. Allowing the player to look around a bit is essential.
Changelog
FocusArea: Instead of a single focus point, VirtualLock now supports multiple FocusArea capsule shapes in the scene. More info:
You can freely define radius and height of each capsule. A height of zero just gives you a sphere.
The focus area marks the safe area you are allowed to look at, which means where the center of your headset display needs to point at. The Display/Warn/Breach Angle value from VirtualLock measures the angle from the edge of that safe area.
E.g. just put FocusArea plugins on a couple of Empty atoms and parent them to some bodyparts.
The combined focus area formed by all the plugins in your scene can be drawn as transparent red area via a checkbox on the VirtualLock plugin. See screenshot.
VirtualLock: Added checkbox to fix head/hand tracking when used together with Embody. With a PositionLock from Embody, actually the plugin thought the hands were moving when you moved your head.
VirtualLock: Fixed issue with the position of the head-up display lagging one frame behind in some situations.
VirtualLock: Fixed hand-tracking in Desktop mode.
VirtualLock: Added Display Radius/Angle to show UI a bit before triggering a warning.
Demo scenes updated with current plugin version. Placed FocusArea's in the first demo scene.
Just posted a guide on how you could use a Raspberry PI and a Relay board to switch devices like vibrators and E-Stim from VaM. Also philosophizing about the holy grail of VR adult software...detecting your real life (pre-)orgasms to trigger things in VaM:
This is a quick DIY guide how you could switch devices on/off or switch between E-Stim channels using a Raspberry PI, a Relay board and the Connect plugin directly from your VaM scene using triggers. No soldering needed. As this is just the...
Your mistress has a mysterious new remote she would like to try...and that's just a condom, right? Maybe it isn't...o_O This is a small (but nice) femdom scene specifically made for real-life E-Stim integration and virtual self-bondage via...
Making the Connect plugin working again under the new VaM security restrictions. Thanks @ brycerer for reporting the issue, as I only tested it after the big 1.20.77.6 update, but ironically it broke after Meshed did another minor update after that. Anyway, works with 1.20.77.9 now.
Updated demo scene with the new technical possibilities of IdlePoser 7. Much more animation variety now and idle stuff going on now.
Used the opportunity to try out doing spank animation with IdlePoser, which is now possible thanks to one-way transitions and tweakable easing-curves.
Trying to use IdlePoser as a point of interest system for the EyeTargetControl and experimenting with MicroIdle-Anchors via AnimationPatterns.
New Look so it will be entirely hub-hosted now after leaving EarlyAccess.
VirtualLock: Improved breach behavior. You can set a timer now how long until it resets.
VirtualLock: Produced a little overview showing the state and events, so you know what needs to be hooked to what. See screenshots.
VirtualLock: Rearranged plugin UI a bit to be more logical.
Demo: Slightly improved light setup which was possible now with yesterdays fixes to SkyMagic.
Demo: New SkyMagic custom sky for this particular setup. Previously the sky did not match the actual light setup.
Demo: Upgrade to Essentials.6 including the new improved ParentHoldLink script.
Demo: A few new metal chains in the background.
Demo: Dependencies that were created for this scene have been released as separate resources to make them more reusable/findable: LogicBricks and SecretToys.
