I'm having a very frustrating issue with timeline not saving my poses, and when I clear the pose, the button to save the pose doesn't work anymore.
You have to be in Stop mode in Timeline for pose saving to work. Freeze mode from the main UI doesn't do it.
 
I have an issue were timeline functions but is not displaying Segment, Layer or Animation information and appears to be locked (I have unchecked the lock box in options). It is also missing the Delete, cut, copy and paste buttons. What causes this and how do I fix it?

I've noticed physics behave differently with Game Time option selected, is there a way to fix this? (tried missing with the game physics settings but no luck)
 
what causes animation to occur between 2 keyframes that are in the same position? if i put 2 keyframes 1 second apart in the same location sometimes there's random movement between them. how do you fix that from happening? i posted about this before but the fix i used no longer works. i understand setting it to linier works but then it makes the loop look stiff.

Sorry to say, but it doesn't make a difference. I'm still having the issue, this time it just came out of nowhere. The save pose function was working just fine, and then it just randomly decides to not do anything. I've made sure that timeline is completely stopped.

UPDATE
Turns out if an atom has any clothing with Stopper's clothing plugins, it makes the save pose function in Timeline just not work. Worst yet, once you encounter the bug, if you try and open up another scene, the bug will carry over until you do a hard reset.

ive always used individual segments like "intro, hj, bj,sex"

ive been doing a scene that only really has one segment "sex" ive been experimenting a little and in that segment i have groups ? of animations all same pose, only the hip animated. each groups animation sequencer is set to play random anim from its own group (top/*). objective is to trigger top mid or bottom group outside of timeline while timeline is playing so as if it was a single animation.

Segment: 1
top/anim1
top/anim2
top/anim3

mid/anim1
mid/anim2
mid/anim3

base/anim1
base/anim2
base/anim3

ive got a lot more animations than ive shown above. so i had the idea of offloading each animation group to its own segment purely for ease of managing them all.

anim 1
anim 2
anim 3

SegMid
anim 1
anim 2
anim 3

so on and so forth

all the anims are loops "apply pose on transition" is not selected for any of them and they all start from the same pose. i can play segWhatever via triggers while its playing and it appears to blend/transition fine ?

my question is, is it blending ok ? is this a poor way of doing the same thing instead of sticking to one segment with groups
 
Got an issue where after some time, pressing the animation play button simply does not work. Any help?
 
learned it the hard way that the animations doesn't save with a scene.....killed the hype to use this...anyway..could not figure out how to make anim 1 pause then play anim 2.

I am confused, animations does not save with a scene? do you mean when you save the scene with animations in it then those are not loaded when saved scene is loaded again? cus that should not be the case, there must be something you might not have done correctly.

This is found in the sequence section tab. Also, turn animation(s) looping off lto prevent unwanted replay.

Yeah im confused also,i load a scene where i spent some time "animating" but the next day when i load the scene timeline shows nothing lol

I know about the looping but im saying like anim 1 = thrusting,stop, anim 2 = climax..but i probably need to have a whole anim that controls both instead or something like that...im just so used to animation patterns and its easiness.

Are you able to play both anim 1 and 2 individually? If yes, while anim 1 is shown click the sequence tab. Midway down on the right side under sequencing click the play next drop down and select anim 2.

Yeah i saw but im still trying to figure out and how to make anim 1 stop after a moment then anim 2 starts (while anim 1 stops)

Otherwise anim 2 just starts mixing with anim 1 and both plays lol

The instructions I posted is probably the easiest to play 2 after 1. Using the sequencer, 2 should play immediately after 1 (unless you set it to do otherwise) and not at the same time which sounds more like a layer.

Could just be that the scene you were working on is just bugged out, I occasionally get a weird VAM related bug specific to one scene and sadly sometimes it's irreversible.

Have you tried starting a new scene and having the same issue? Disabled all session / scene plugins? Check plugin permissions in settings?

I haven't had this issue myself, sound like a huge pain to troubleshoot if it's global to your VAM install.

It is possible what Lamp mentioned in the previous post is the issue. With that being said, if nothing else works you could test a fresh install to see if you get the same results. Simply copy the Vam_Updater.exe into a blank folder and run. Keep in mind you may have to copy other files (keys) over as well but keep it at a minimum. Update Timeline and make 2 simple animations. Test the sequencing and the saving of the scene. If it works you could easily rebuild the test folder into the main folder. I rebuild my VAM folder sometimes because VAM appears to run better after a fresh install. If you rebuild make sure you make note of additional files you may have to copy over (Saves folder, Custom folder, AddonPackagesUserPrefs folder and AddonPackagesFilePrefs folder).
 
Well i found the issue and fixed it,now trying sequencing but "play next" with random amount of loops of anim 1 until anim 2 doesn't trigger?

This is really confusing for me since logicly this should work lol

Erm..Nvm found out "Play all" acts like the old "Sync"..

I had the same issue. I think it has something to do with setting "Play next in (seconds) timer" found in sequencing tab. For example: if anim 1 was two minutes, set anim 2 play next timer to 6 minutes to get anim 1 to play three times before 2. I never tried it so I am not sure. I would just make 3 copies of anim1. Tweak each a little for variety then sequence all three to play before anim 2. Good to see you made progress.
