VaM 1.x AM4 + 5070ti vs AM5 + 5080ti

Hey everyone! Currently I am debating whether I should just upgrade my existing AM4 setup or upgrade to a brand new AM5 setup. The goal is to play in VR mode.

Now my question is: Does AM5 and the 5080 bring any big advantage over AM4 and 5070ti, or is it not worth the upgrade because it maybe only gives +5% of performance?

To people on AM4 + 5070ti: How well are scenes running, can you play it in 60+ FPS with settings maxed out?

My guess: the update probably won't give an improvement worth the cost, in VAM at least. You don't even know if the GPU is your bottleneck in scenes, more likely will be the CPU.

Depends on the scene of course. 1, 2, 3 persons, very different results. Are they moving a lot? Look, clothes, hairs will have all kinds of impact. Generaly speaking of scenes means nothing. If you want benchmarks, see the Benchmarks thread

I would perhaps get the Ryzen 5800X3D. Which one do you have? How often do you run into scenes where you are running into less than 60FPS?
