• Hi Guest!

Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.8 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

Details about the security patch can be found here.

Success!! Pico motion trackers inside Vam, tracking is now fixed !!! (two part guide)

Hello, Have succes connect Pico Trackers But have Question ? can i hide the Trakers? i Found Setting VR option SteamVR + Hide Trackers but still show how can hide Trakers?

1 load session plugin HideTrackersByDefault
2 session preset change user default preset
3 reboot vam.
this is a known bug with generic trackers (white boxes)

for something permanent, remove the generic trackers form path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\resources\rendermodels\generic_tracker

yes pico connect talks to steamvr only,
you'll lose also passthrough with steamvr,

VD is not compatible.

i use two feet trackers > pico motion,
plus waist tracker > owotrack.

the skating is related to pico skeletton etsimation trackers if disabled it disappears.
hybrid tracking can help in this matter.

i understand that people are looking for mocap tracking setups,
which translates perfect movements to nodes,
but i wonder how many vive optical trackers are involved in production of said perfect mocaps,
and if actual editing of final mocaps is involved or not,

pico motion or any other imu system is not a mocap tracking setup,
it is a puppeteering tracking setup.
and you need puppeteer skills to adapt to constraints, if your aim is recording a scene,
mainly involving adapting the recipient/vam avatar's nodes to your actual tracker nodes.
But SlimerVR Deluxe Tracker Set it is at least that's what it say

this hardware only use IMU sensors

Quote ^
A future-proof tracker set for the VR obsessed – with capabilities at least equivalent to the set above, plus a little something extra for motion capture, experimentation, and imagination.
Pico Motion Trackers User LED Plus IMU, if it is correct?

For kneel It's horrible Prompt Alert message that the tracker cannot be located on the LEDs. for a few seconds or more
For Sitting Chair me it is difficult because sometimes it doesn't work for me
For Sitting on the floor is terrible gets out of control Atom Explode with invalid collision i guest...

maybe in future Better Firmware or aditionally Hack

I mean someone make work 11 unid Pico Tracker connected directly PC

Better Software and support can add more Trackes in Body and connect BT dongle + optimize Embody for Modcap/control with Pico Trackers

never experienced an explosion, with those trackers..
pico are like slimevr but way easier to setup,

11 pico connects at once ? i don't think it was designed for that, the LEDS are only for fixing drift when your headset camera can sse trackers..

you can still use slimevr or OWOtrack (phone or smartwatch) for hips,
if you have pico it's normal to buy motion trackers they are a nice addition,

someone will have to hack/install a bluetooth chip driver into pico, a chip that has android support at least.. (coud be a rtl8723au_bt chip)
that is beyond my skill right now,

just wait for future firmware it's like slimevr it will get better with future updates..

Hello, could you tell me that the box on the legs is a little bit off center and does not completely coincide with the characters? Is it the improper use of plug-ins or the improper use of Embody?

Another problem, such as in the video, is that I moved the handle and the character moved, but the waist did not move. I reset all the settings of the Embody and it is normal

I use PICO4pro. I add the deformation of face tracking and the nodes of the whole body to the timeline. Then a bug appears in the game. It blocks the white box of my whole body, and the assets on my body will lose their binding. Even the handle will lose its link. I don't know what the problem is, it may be the problem of the face plug-in

So you say we can combine different trackers and software and in the Steam VR settings in Controllers Trackers we can select from there for example Legs with Pico Trakers, Hib slimevr etc...? and will work in VAM

maybe it's translation but i don't understand you question,

check youtube video for reference:

with pico 4 i don't hanve pico 4 pro,

1 steamvr > pico connectplugin. (youtube video > 1:20s)
activate only waist
deactivate hip.

2 steamvr > manage trackers. (youtube video > 4:50s)
waist and hips are not the same.
vam recognize waist not hips.
disable everything on the list,
enable only what is configured in pico-steamvr-plugin

3: embody vam plugin:
you should do the wizard,
if boxes are a little off it's normal it's still useable.
recalibrate from pico connect headset to get better tracker position.

Sorry, my English is poor and I use machine translation.
I'm not sure if it's correct, but like in the video, I clicked on the two options in the other settings of Embody to avoid this waist displacement issue (before activation), because directly activating Embody is really important, and I don't want to use the wizard every time.
Now I am using three PICO trackers, I have enabled all the joint nodes, and many icons have lit up on Steamvr. I don't know what they are for, but I can use them normally. It's great.
Of course, I would like to hear your opinion

pico trackers activate only:
ankles+waist+chest. (simple setup)

steamvr manage tracker:

waist > waist NOT waist > hips
chest > chest ... etc
but you need the correct trackers assignement in steamvr// it's a must..

and many icons have lit up on Steamvr.

blue watch tracker = artificial/fake trackers (this is not a problem)
green watch tracker = real pico trackers (this is not a problem also)

when you understand more (pico connect fake tracking + steamvr tracker manager + vam embody)
you can do whathever you want, and experiment you own way ,adn add all fake trackers.
