Is anyone able to help me with this issue?

Everytime I boot VAM I run into a problem where I have to re-update the same packages I've already updated before, and until I do that, scanning the hub for missing referenced packages doesn't work. Is there something I can do to fix this? It's pretty annoying having to wait to re-update the same thing each time I reboot the program.

If you have that behavior you have several possibilities :
  • You don't have rights to write on the addonpackages folder
  • You don't have enough disk space to update the packages
  • You're moving .vars outside of the addonpackages root in sub-folders so vam thinks they need to be updated
