On making parts of your male character passthrough, you can modify the brilliant Damarmau's Emily Cyberware, which he made compatible with futa, and combine it with the emissive clothing plugin from blazedust (along with some character transparency tweaks if you wish) and you get much better results than if you just skin the male in your passthrough color.
As some have mentioned in this discussion, the issue is that with lighting and shadows, the skin falls too far off the passthrough RGB number and is no longer passthrough. If you use a geoshell (like Damarmau's) and make it emissive, it's largely unaffected by lighting and doesn't have shadows cast on it, so it becomes pure passthrough.
I may throw together a .var that packages all the textures and plugin presets, but in general if you look into how other emissive clothing works, you can navigate your way well enough. On the blazedust plugin, I turn the color alpha and the alpha multiplier up to 4.0, which in desktop mode makes it look like a different color than the one you set in your clothing texture, but in VR it all comes good and the results are spectacular.
