I got something weird, the vr hands works great and i can do all the movements and action like in ur gif, but my problem is that when i use embody, instead of vam switching my hands to the embody hands, it SPAWNS 2 new vr hands instead of switching to embody hands.

I love it in scenes where theres no hands, but its really disappearing that it doesnt take over the embody hands
That's interesting I haven't encountered that yet... let me try with the latest embody versions

I mdont know what embody is but I been wanting to see my arms and hands not just floating hands. I was gunna try the transparency thing and just remove every part of the guy except his arms and hands. Unless someone has an easier idea because his collision would still be on for the rest of his body which would ruin almost all of my scenes

Hi i have a question. what is the asian with a gray shirt look in your guide?
I can't find on hub :(
If you have any information , please tell me.
Thank you!

For some reason i'm not having "hand tracking" as a controller in SteamVR settings.
So can't choose that binding.
Any ideas what's wrong?

I can see my hands in VAM, but with default binding it's mostly very bad cause any movements triggers menu or other things.
so handtracking itself works fine, but it's horrible with default settings

Quest3 if it's matter

I hate when im not even trying to grab something and all of the sudden my hands are stuck to nodes...

Quest 3

Also when I am trying to edit something and want to choose just one node to move, it selects 2 nodes one i wasn't even aiming at. Like If I try to move a foot, but there is another node from something else close by, itll select and move that also. It makes me mad ugh.... Like the pointer points at one object and then a seperate line will select something else.

Restart everything, sometimes you need to restart twice even. Then make sure when selecting controller bindings in SteamVR you're using your hands to select, not controller. If still doesn't work might have to reinstall SteamVR

If you followed my bindings then you won't be getting stuck to anything on accident. Also I mentioned that editing in hand tracking is really hard, much easier to just use a controller to do precise editing

so...i need to do that setting from VR?
cause i just use mouse on PC to open steamvr settings and bindings, while headset connected and using hand, not controller

Yes. You need to do it in VR, with your hands. Not with mouse or controller, has to be hands for the binding to show up

Yea I always use the controllers while editing, but when I pull the trigger to grab something it ends up either grabbing something im on or something next to it as well as another object close by at the same time... I selects 2 objects at once sometimes and I end up moving something by mistake, I hate it.

I don't understand. If you use a controller while editing, then that's not using hand tracking anymore... you're talking about VAM in general and not hand tracking

wait, but how do i open that menu from VR?
after VAM launch - all you can see is just VAM, no desktop with steamVR settings button in the bottom
and if i'm not launch VAM - i can't change bindings for VAM...

You're not following the guide right. You need to be launching from SteamVR, not other launch methods

I do open SteamVR, then go to panels - desktop - here is VAM icon for launch

isn't that "run through SteamVR" as guide said?

If you're launching in SteamVR then left hand thumb plus index finger facing up to bring up steam menu

looks like it doesn't open steam menu for me
but i can just open steamvr settings through panels-desktop

but problem is - there is no hand controller appears, when i literally using hands to open that selection menu...
