VAM is a pretty obscure software and if you go on youtube and search "virtamate" and check new, 99% of the results are South Koreans making Kpop music videos or something similar.
Is there a reason why VAM has huge popularity within the SK internet? Obviously they aren't using it as a sex sandbox but to make motion captured music videos. For some reason this seems like an inefficient way to go about that but VAM is basically a sandbox based on Unity components with DAZ 3D characters that is primarily intended for VR use but desktop mode probably accounts for 50% of the actual use cases nowadays.
If I had to guess its because the barrier to entry is low to create "animations". Its not like learning blender, although it took me months to realise what VAM actually is at the end of the day; DAZ 3D with a physics engine.
