Hi all, I used some guides in order to import a model from Vam to daz, and than from daz to blender. In blender I tried to create a face off an image but I dont get it: Why when i try to use the face builder Im doing it ONLY on a brand new face? Is there a way to just edit the face that is already part of the model? I did manage to create a whole new head, but when tried to delete the old head and attach the new one it was (as expected) not looking great as it doesnt 100% fit.
What is the best way of doing it?
Can I just edit the existing face out of images?

thanksss!

What is Face Builder? Some plugin in Blender?
If so better to search online for this Blender question, there's probably a guide for it.

hi yes it is.
for some reason, i cannot find any video detailing how to just take a face created in face builder and put it on a body.
yet im sure people here are actively doing it, this is why I tried to fish maybe someone knows

You gotta understand you just don't "put a face on a body" for a game like VAM.
VAM requires a specific topology and needs you to "wrap" your model around that original topology.

You would need tutorials like "Transfer face model on Genesis 2/8" or something similar. I think there was some around at some point on the hub, either as tutorials/guides or in threads.

hey mate, actually I followed a guide: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/vam-to-blender-to-vam.3759/
but unfortunately, after after creating a face on blender with the face creator, i could not attach the head into a body the proper way, and also got stuck of making a morph in daz.
I feel like all the youtube videos out there or guides always miss some crucial points and therefor in every step Im making small mistakes.
not really sure how to go from here as everytime I try to work with a guide eventually im getting errors

You can't kitbash the Face Builder head with the VaM / Genesis 2 model unfortunately. As hazmhox mentioned the topology can't be changed.

That guide has some information you could work with though just instead of sculpting the model you want to wrap it. I'd recommend taking a look at these guides below as well and checking out the porting tutorial videos on MakuJippiDesu / McZippy's channel to learn more.
