Clothing Import Issues

Hello all,

I'm new to creating 3D content, and I've managed to get the hang of Marvelous Designer, Blender, and Daz3D to create custom clothing items.
Some have worked without issue, but I ran into issues with my latest attempt to import into VAM.

Here's what my bikini looked like in Daz3D prior to exporting the .duf file:

And.... what it looked like after importing into VAM:

I'm not concerned with the textures/FX, I expected to need to adjust that in VAM.
But I'm not sure how to correct the import issues with the distorted vertices that are warping the clothing pattern into jagged edges.
I read a previous thread I found that clothing can become distorted due to clothing vertices being linked to model vertices, but I never found an answer on how to resolve this.

My clothing creations aren't that complex, and there is custom content on the Hub that is much more complex and appears to import into VAM without issues.
Any advice on what I can do to resolve this?

VAM smoothing seems to be affecting it.
Are you distorting with triangular planes?
The important lines are better on a quadrangle.
