On one hand it's a "no duh" concept that adding more scenes/models/etc. is going to increase memory demands, but I had hoped that those assets would only be loaded on use in a scene that needs them, and that doesn't seem to be the case. Adding about 40 gigs worth of .var's notably increased the initial load time and memory demands, with more continually demanding more RAM regardless of scene. First image is task manager with my standard load, second is with the additional .var's added.
I'm hoping there's something I can do with the arrangement of the files (keeping them in a bunch of their own subfolders within the addonpackages directory seemed to make no difference) or a setting I can modify that will help with this. Thanks to anyone who can help.
