Question Is there a way to lock the head/neck, i.e. just look around?

Hey all,

As I'm sure everyone knows, Virtamate (once you get to know it a bit) is far superior than HS2, but one issue I have is whenever I possess a head it's incredibly easy to move the body in the wrong direction and completely mess the scene up.

Is there a way to lock the head in place? That way if I move backward or forward or get out of my seat the entire body isn't moved with me? I'd like to be able to just look around if at all possible.

Thanks!

I suggest using Passenger:

1. Download this: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/embody.6513/
2. Add it to the person atom you want to possess (you can automate this using a keystroke with Keybindings: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/keybindings.4400/)
3. Select the Passenger preset (you can save this as a default so you don't have to do it every time)
4. You can optionally turn off rotation and position lock, which will allow you to move your head (otherwise it'll be locked into place)

It was made for this purpose :) I made https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/passenger.103/ before which has been superseeded by Embody, I recommend not using it but some people find it easier to use.

Have fun :)

Great, thank you! I'll give it a shot and will pop back in here with any questions.

I appreciate you saying something yourself! I can't tell you how many Acid Bubbles mods I have 😂

Okay so Embody is amazing. Your link taught me how to use Person Plugins too! I need to figure out keybindings next because having to load it into each and every scene is very cumbersome.

Thank you again!

Keybindings is excellent, but if you're in VR it may not be as helpful unless you use a keyboard with the controllers.
If you want to quickly add Embody to any scene that is not using it, I suggest you to check out UIAssist by JayJayWon. It's a HUD that you can open with a VR controller. I have a button in it to add Embody to a male person and another to activate/deactivate Passenger, it's super handy.
