A little inspiration and technical guidance

Hi all, I'm looking for inspiration for my next character, this is the image I'm currently interested in, if you have a good suggestion, send it to me and I'll try to reproduce it.

Also, I still have a headache with highlight and gloss textures and don't know how to paint or how to bake, I would appreciate it if someone could give me some guidance.
