It can be really intimidating. Ping enigma on discord if you run into a roadblock with that process and need a hand. it's not hard, but there are a bunch of procedural things you have to get right or the export/imports simply wont work.
Default, Daz Studio does not support autofit from genesis 8 to genesis 2.

It looks like you have all the settings and steps in Daz and Blender correct. The only thing i saw odd was your file sizes are quite different than my *.obj exports for g2 and g8. My G2 objects are ~3.4 MB and my G8/8.1 objects ~2.6 MB
What Daz version are you using and can you open the *.obj...
Vam does not utilize the rigs of clothing items at all. bones will be ignored in vam, and in turn, weight painting. Your best bet is to just import a underwear as normal, and simaround where the penis tip touches the underwear and have that tip portion unsimmed if you prefer it did not pop out...

Indeed, "Write normals" was missing and checking this parameter doesn't solve the problem.
But now the size of the files are 3.4Mb for G2 and 2.6Mb for G8.
