The definitive asset creation tutorial for VaM

Guides The definitive asset creation tutorial for VaM

Couldn't for the longest time figure out why the spot/point lights were not working in VaM. Took the time to read through this guide and found solutions to everything. TY!

Amazing guide ! I don't know why did I take so long to read it. I'm too lazy to redo every asset I've imported so far but I'll definitely use that guide for the next ones. Thank you for taking the time to write it down

Lots of great info and a few things I never new. Good to know about the simple naming of things I never thought of this from a coding/scripting point of view. Next time I make something I will be sure to go through this to see what I am guilty of.

This is pure gold! Very useful information this tutorial! This whole time I have been creating only a Height Reference folder for the default G2 model and an Import folder where I would put all the .obj, .fbx and textures in. I thought that I was just using shortcuts, but was not aware that it caused trouble with script developement. My apologies for that. I will work on my folder structure starting with my next asset port. Thank you hazmhox!

Don't apologize haha. This is an approach of doing "optimized" prefabs. Let's continue this in the discussion ;)

Man... another case of "Well, I know most of this already but I really WISH this had been around nine months ago so I didn't have to learn everything the hard way!"

This is a wonderful, comprehensive list of the final, important steps to asset creation. Hats off to you and this wonderful contribution to the community. Feel free to teach me how to properly burn textures in Blender to use in Unity next, yeah? ;)

You mean bake textures from Blender to final PNGs for Unity ? This is something I could do yeah. But well... Substance Painter is way better =D (feel free to continue this or answer in the discussion)

Hazmhox has been indispensable in getting me off the ground porting assets through unity. If you're looking for tips on improving that process, this is the guide for you!
