I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that most of my ideas for scenes in VaM begin with a song. I'll be just listening to something on Spotify and without really paying attention, I'll kind of drift off, thinking about sexual situations that fit the vibe of the song. That's exactly where this scene started.
I've been wanting to put a scene to this song for a long while, I just couldn't figure out how I wanted to do it. I really needed something where the environment set the mood. Something simple, maybe something in the same vein as Mr. Sandman?
I looked at a lot of existing resources and environments out there. I had almost set Come-Hither in Nial’s Industrial Apartment, but I couldn’t get the lighting how I wanted it without killing the framerate. I’ve always really liked TacoCat’s Rocky Cabin, but that was just a lot heavier than I was aiming for. I wanted something super lightweight, like Panic Room or Motion, but having no environment would not cut it.
My first breakthrough was when I saw hazmhox’s Snow 101. It’s an older plugin, but I had somehow missed it until a few months ago. I knew as soon as I saw it that Runaway had to be set somewhere with snow in the scene.
The second breakthrough came when Lubenoodle released Forest Campfire in late September. Snow with a crackling fire? DUH. I tried plopping a couple of characters in this scene and modifying it a bit, but I just couldn’t get the idea of “outside on the ground in the forest in the snow” to work for me. It was cool, but it was also cold.
I decided that I was going to have to build my own environment, building from this “snow and fire” thought process. It needed to be very minimalist, and I needed an actual fireplace to contain the fire. Using built-in assets, Hexenv88’s Victorian Fireplace, Norm’s campfire, and Snow 101, I was able to piece together the Runaway Room for this scene.
Now with the environment put together, I had to pick a character. It’s no secret that I am a sucker for all of Damarmau’s looks. I also enjoy creating my own, of course. Alas, I’ve been eying Juno's Naiomi for quite a while now, and finally decided that this was her time!
With everything built and the look chosen, I was able to finally get to work on… well… unfortunately my shortest scene-to-date (or at least since Hanna’s Side Ride.) I definitely needed something shorter than my last scene to work on, so this really fit the bill for me.
I tinkered with different positions here, but I went with the tried-and-true cowgirl. At just over two minutes long, the animation is set to loop automatically.
I had tried reverse cowgirl initially, but I just couldn’t get into it. I still have a lot of those animations though, so there may be a future update that lets her switch position, maybe at each loop interval? I haven’t really decided yet. It’s such a short song, there’s no good reason to skip out on trying a few different positions here.
Overall, I am pleased with how this one turned out, even if it’s super short. It’s disappointing that there isn’t more movement here, or at least longer amounts of time in the few positions/movements there are, but two minutes just isn’t a lot of time to do stuff. I’m just glad I was finally able to put this song to something. It’s been bothering me for quite a while! I hope you enjoy it!

The scene is pretty simple. As I use VR more and more, I’ve recognized the need for buttons for everything. Expecting that everyone is able to use a keyboard just doesn’t cut it. You’ve got a Start and Stop/Reset button, which are self-explanatory. You’ve got a Start Cam button, which will start the Cam ride. You can use this button at any time to switch to the cam ride. The POV button switches you in and out of Embody/POV for Attom, as do Right Ctrl and Esc keys. You’ll find volume sliders for the various sounds in the scene, since everyone has different preferences and audio gear. Hide and Unhide the menu do exactly what it says. I’m kind of proud of what I accomplished with the menu this time. It stays exactly where it’s supposed to: in the bottom right corner of your view. You’ll almost certainly want to hide that menu!
Looking back, I probably should have added a volume slider for the crackle of the fire, and I probably should have added a toggle for the window reflection for slower systems. People might also want to disable the auto loop. I’ll probably add these in an update. For now, they are what they are.

And where would even this short scene be without the time and effort of all of the content creators that came before it? I can never thank the following people enough for their contributions to this community.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I simply can’t make animated scenes without Acid Bubbles’ Timeline. Without Embody, I don’t know how to do POV, and Spawn Point is cheatmode for resetting scenes and getting that fancy menu to work reliably.
Clockwise Silver’s Silver Expression Tool is responsible for animating Naiomi’s facial expressions. And speaking of Naiomi? Wow. What a fantastic look. Juno killed it with this one. You won’t find a dependency here, since I modified her from the original, and didn’t need the extra dependencies from the original var file, but credit where credit is due! I did keep Hunting-Succubus’ Enhanced Eyes, of course. I always do!
I used everlaster’s TittyMagic to get Naiomi, uh, moving how she should! And all of her sounds, slaps, and squishes were provided by hazmhox’s VamMoan. Of course, VamMoan is fueled at least in part by MacGruber’s Life, and I’ll never miss an opportunity to thank him for his contributions.
The cum animation is also hazmhox’s, the Fluids 101 plugin, and the cum textures were brought to you by Molmark using the Drip Drop Full Collections for the Belly, Chest, Back, Glutes, and Hands. Keeping that thang aimed where it needs to be is ToumeiHitsuji’s Divining Rod.
The environment is my Runaway Room and is hub-hosted. It relies on hazmhox’s Snow 101 plugin, Norm’s Campfire, and Hexenv88’s Victorian Fireplace as noted above.
The music for this scene is a song called Runaway and is a collaboration between Beowülf and a couple other artists. You can find the song here on Spotify.
Not included in the scene, but used in the screengrabs and video are Hunting-Succubus’ Automatic Body Smoother and MacGruber’s Essentials plugin, for SuperShot, specifically.
