It's a memory leak issue... I also have this.
Heap size grows every 0.5 -1sec by 10-20mb, when it grows too big the garbage collector runs to reduce the heap size, that causes the stuttering (complete freeze for me for 1 sec in VR, worst cases computer freezes...) without the plugin nothing of the sort happens. Would be really nice if this got finally fixed. Happens every 20-30ish seconds...

Can confirm. It really reduces the uses of this plugin as its constant and inevitable. There is nothing you can do with your scene to stop it filling up the heap.

This means if you want to record a video of an animation thats more than 30 seconds long, you will either need to disable this plugin, or manually edit your video after to remove the freezed frames

i fixed a memory leak issue while ago, memory usage was stable, which version of plugin you are using?

Plugin had major Memory Leak, was increasing Heap Size very quickly.
This issue is almost fixed now. Memory usage should be stable.
VR mode should no longer Shutter or Freeze, FPS should be stable.

1. - Added user requested feature - Female only mode, to save some performance.
2. - Memory Leak is now also fixed for Session Plugin.

Plugin had major Memory Leak, was increasing Heap Size very quickly.
This issue is almost fixed now. Memory usage should be stable.
VR mode should no longer shutter or freeze, FPS should be stable.

Still having the same issue with Version 9 of the plug-in: heap size is growing quite rapidly. It's definitely the SubSurface plugin as nothing else is applied. Can't really use it now unfortunately since it causes problems with recording video.

By the way, the plug-ins still say "version 1" since forever so maybe you could update that to avoid confusion?

When I go to download it, the Mega link and title says that its version ver 8, not 9, which is confusing cuz I have a version 9 already, so VaM just keeps wanting to load the borked version of 9 and not a new version. The Files inside the version for the "new" 9 also says they haven't been touched since September which lines up with the original ver 8. I think the wrong link might have been posted for the updated ver9? Cuz it's also the same link in the Version 8 release notes. Now I'm just really confused as to whats what here, and if the fixed version was even linked? Also the Female Only mode isn't present in the var version posted on the latest updated patreon post of version 9. So I think the incorrect version was posted.

Hello, this plugin looks very beautiful. I want to use it, but which tier should I subscribe to your Patreon page to use it? I want to test it first, and if it works well, I may use it for commercial purposes.
 
Any hope for an update fixing decals, like wet stuff from VS1 and so on?
Since i started using this i can't turn back :)

I personally wouldn't recommend any purchase until the definitive problems have been fixed utterly, or the price has been lowered. To pay $20 for a plugin that has so many broken iterations of itself released constantly, especially and seemingly deliberately each release having something moderately troublesome/broken with it, is beyond comprehension at that price tag.

I would recommend getting comfortable with Reshade and the Shaders you can use to enhance your scenes visually if you are into screenshot taking and video recording. But that is my personal take on the question at hand 🤷‍♂️.

!> Exception ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Argument is out of range.

2. SSS should be compatible with ImprovePOV and Embody.
In VR mode SSS should no longer show red overlay on invisible parts.
when skin.materialsEnabled = false or Skin Materials's AlphaAdjust = -1, SSS will be not applied to this materials...

I have scalp problem with some hair style, when I turn tessellation off, and it's gone. Do you have some solution about it? I tried adjust value about scalp in plugin, but it not effective.
