VaM 1.x adjust body / atom mass

Hi, is there a way to modify atom mass, is that even how the engine works? I found even if I set follow/spring/damping to low, atoms can still be very sluggish and have some sort of resistance or feeling of weight, is there some way to adjust or tackle this sort of control?

I know of this plugin, and recoginse the creator as probably the top of all creators out there, making the best plugins.
And I am not complaining or anything, I just couldnt get why its the only solution I could find, I was hoping mass/weight adjustment would be possible without a paid plugin. Perhaps the concept of weight is more complex than it seems
