Hi all, total newbie here and i got confused about what I better off purchasing.
If my use will be: create characters, create scenes, edit purchased characters to my liking, use ai characters etc. which plan and where from i better purchase? Patreon? itch.io? housefly? did not understand the differences well enough. I will add that im a newbie with no experience, yet i dont want to get stuck on a plan in which im not capable of doing almost anything.
thank you!

One thing worth pointing out regarding the MeshedVR Patreon option for $8 USD/month:
You only have to pay for a single month, you can just cancel again. Of course, you can stay subscribed to support the devs, but you don't have to. You can keep using the version you got forever. They only thing you don't get is updates, should there even be another update at this point. The development focus is on VaM2, so I wouldn't expect too many VaM1 updates anymore. Should there be a VaM1 update and you want it (to keep up with new content), you would need to re-up for another month.

Regarding community content, there is plenty of free stuff here on the hub. However, some creators offer their stuff via Patreon or other payment sites...
I'd recommend you get a Creator License for Vam from the MeshedVR Patreon. It's only $8 USD/month. Then you can start with the many free scenes and characters available on the hub. With the creator license, you can create scenes, modify existing characters, etc. Once you get comfortable with the program, then you can figure out which creators you would like to subscribe to. Patreon is generally preferred, but that's just my opinion.

Usually the rule there is the same, once you have the content in your hands, it's yours forever. You just don't get new or updated content when you stop subscribing.

It's a separate product which works with vam, and also is on patreon.
may i please understand, doesnt vam itself enough to create characters, create scenes, edit purchased characters to my liking, use ai characters etc or I need vamX as well for those?
