To all WMR users 24h2 Windows 11 update will no longer support Windows Mixed Reality Headsets.

I know its awful. There are threds on Reddit with users are very unhappy. Basicall Microsoft abandoned their VR department. They say its cotly to maintain.

The inly solution I see is keep a Working Installation as like secondary booting partition and cut the internet for this. Because of the security risks?

Any other Ideas? Please comment.

Windows 10
Yes but security Updates will fade out sometime.

I updated to W11 and liked it. But now..

There are some Projects to run WMR on Linux but VAM not so much. I Assume?

If that takes a few years you probably don't have your WMR device anymore.
Windows dual booting is also a viable option.

Yeah, think I make a dual boot. Only viable option. Linux would be greate but sadly nesr imposdible.

They say its cotly to maintain? It's juste a bunch a drivers. According to learnMicrsoft WMR will still work, but will not longer receive update after nov 2026.
