hazmhox updated VAMLive with a new update entry:

New option

• Added a new background color for the camera after a discussion with @ZROW (thanks for the idea)
  • Default background color has been set to black, which should not be a massive issue for legacy scenes.

I tried both methods, but it still doesn’t get detected. Could it be because the old .4 version remains?

You can remove all versions and keep only the last one yeap : )
The system waits for any camera to be available now, so the order does not matter. You're obviously doing something wrong

• Keep only one version
• Hard reset or restart the game
• Retry

Make sure you're not making the same dumbass mistake I did... "freeze motion/sound" needs to be unticked.
