Question Turn off monitor helpful to improve performance in VR mode?

Hey, I saw a video says that your computer will render twice, once on monitor and another once on headset, therefore you should turn the monitor resolution as low as possible. If I just turn off the monitor output, F1 or what key, is this gonna improve my FPS?

This makes sense, not sure how much of a benefit it would give. I would think turning the monitor off completely would be best.

Turning it off also reduces your electricity bill, not much but waste is waste.

Physically turning off your monitor might not be enough.
