My setup: HP Reverb G2, Ryzen 5900X, 32GB 3600Mhz CL16, RTX 3080

Loading an empty scene, Steam VR resolution set to 20%, no MSAA, in game super sampling 1.0 -

If I either hold my "grab move" button, or use the joysticks to move the framerate drops to 60-ish FPS.

In any scene with a character where I was getting 90 FPS it will drop to <45 FPS.

I'm not sure this is bug. If you have the UI open while moving it can cause a pretty hefty slowdown.

Also - do you have any plugins installed? Try disabling them and see if the issue goes away. Unity is not very good about lots of game objects moving around at the same time, especially the UI elements because there can be 100s of them.

I tested it in an empty scene, so no plugins or game objects other than the menu.

Unfortunately this isn't something I can fix until 2.X. I believe with the UI closed it shouldn't really be slower though.
