Please consider tweaking the "like" button

No, hitting the "Like" button, leaving a review, or reacting with an emoji will NOT add a resource to your "Watched" resources list. A simple test can show you that. It is also not in the code at all on the back-end.

What will automatically add a resource to your "Watched" list is clicking the "Download" or "Go to pay site" buttons.

Anyways, It would be very cool if we don't do that by default with any other button aside it's very own watch button

This is true. I have confirmed that this setting also affects forum activity.
