Can I adjust the camera speed in the scene window for 2018.1.9f1?
Looks like that it's only in the newer versions?

Are there any other controls for better navigating to the object?
I'm using rightclick, alt and sometimes navi cross but left and right arrow are always too fast.

Solution
Other than holding shift to go faster I don't know if there's any way to adjust camera speed. For navigating to an object you can double click its name in the Hierarchy tab to make the camera center in on it. Panning with the middle mouse button might be a little smoother than the left and right arrow keys.
