Question My Custom skin textures always look weird after it is imported to vam

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to all of this, but I'm trying...
I have learned how to create custom textures by making edited versions of the base textures, but for some reason, the color is always waaaay off when I import the textures onto a character in vam.
Are textures not meant to contain color or something?
Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Some advice would be great

It's tough to say what's going on with your textures without seeing an example. Can you please post one?
