I'm having an issue in one scene where moving the character by dragging (either moving location or rotating) results in a multiple-second total freeze of VaM after releasing the mouse, every time. Interestingly, the same freeze/delay does not occur if rotating the character with the keyboard using a hotkey - only when using the mouse. The freeze is anywhere from 3-5 seconds which becomes extremely annoying over time.

- This doesn't happen with this character in other scenes.
- It occurs with any character in this scene.
- It occurs even with physics frozen.
- It occurs with collision turned off on the scene room CUA.

Any ideas what might be causing this, or any potential workarounds?

You might want to run the standard benchmark to see if there is a bottleneck caused by your hardware. Compare your results against those posted in the discussion thread for the benchmark.

I'll give that a go, but I don't have this issue on literally any other scene. Just this one for whatever reason, so it seems oddly specific and not a system performance thing.

You didn't specify what the scene is. Some assets that might be in a given scene are serious FPS killers. Maybe the say the scene is structured or animated is affecting this.

Just went and re-found the resource (couldn't remember who it was by). It's this one from Tacocat. And someone actually said the same thing in the comments. Probably not much of a workaround then besides disabling soft body collisions I guess.

If you have no issues in most (if not all scenes).
You tested your specific case (moving a char) in different situations.
You tested several options/workarounds in that scene
and at the end of the day, that scene only bugs out... then the problem is the scene or something inside of it.

TacoCat had some cool looking resources, but some of them were extremely bad optimization wise. You won't be able to fix anything unless you'd fix said resources.
