been pondering about this a while. in vr my own scenes are seated (pov solo lap dance or girls riding) i don't really need a male atom to possess and don't care if i cant see torso, legs arms etc. all i need is the business end :ROFLMAO:

a dildo can work to get things going with the likes of the bodylangauge plugin but the dildo doesn't have as much functionality/features as a male atoms tadger which plays nicer with a few plugins over the dildo. also benefits of the dildo instead of male atom is night and day with fps getting nearly 60fps on a 2060 super.

is there anyway to basically disable body part physics and collision or even completely remove from sight and leaves only physics for the old meat and two veg ? could doing that even increase performance to begin with. im aware of the plugin to change alphas to hide parts but i don't think that would help with performance ?

just thinking out loud

I don't think you can just have collision physics in some parts of the male body, it's probably all or nothing. If you have the male with no soft physics, clothes, hair, built-in skin or morphs, you may be able to get more FPS, but the best would be to try it out yourself.
Usually the bigger gains are on the female atom's side and lights, glute physics if not needed can bring in major savings.

All male body hair, including beards should have sim disabled. This can give a significant FPS boost. Not sure if you're using that, but it's worth noting.

I highly recommend using the Character Transparency plugin on the male figure, especially if you use passthrough:

Character Transparency

You can alpha out the whole body or individual body parts as desired. The skeleton nodes continue to function as normal except you aren't rendering anything. Though, since most male looks are usually bald and without a lot of extra, I imagine that the skeleton nodes have the largest impact on performance, but the skeleton is necessary for much more than just animation, at least with the character transparent you wouldn't be spending any resources on rendering most or all of the character.

You could also just swap in a lookalike dildo prop and arrange it where the guy's dick is in the scene.

Hi guys sorry I didn't realise there were replies here. thank you for taking the time.

ive since experimented quite a bit best results i can get are with dildo and in user preferences is setting quick quality to High then mirrored surfaces, realtime reflection probes, soft body physics, high quality physics all disabled and 2 invisible light sources set to point. space boxes and a bed(no collision/physics). also running the Cue plugin and letting it handle the auto/micro movements, gaze, the arousal and facial expression system, orgasm, and vammoan. no thrust or bj, hands etc its handled through timeline.

I'll get 60-70fps in desktop mode while running an animation in timeline that im happy with given the age of my system. VR I'll get 40 fps and tbh just the right amount for passable immersion and im sure gains could be made there. using a pico neo 3 link with dp cable.

with everything the same as above ill get a pitiful 30 fps in desktop mode with a male (no cue) using divining rod and character transparency. don't even ask how bad it is in VR.

I cant believe ive been here as long as I have and not seen disembody and was exactly what I was looking for...Doh. just tried it and its looking promising. 50fps in desktop with all but the penis disabled and male collision off(divining rod is a great help here) thanks. hmm is there a way to cut the bollocks off, their swaying around quite a bit i imagine thats a couple fps and im never going to see that

I used to make fancy environments with soft body physics and all that jazz and its great i like dark forests and cabins fires etc. got thinking though really how much do i notice around me and really, not a lot so i started stripping everything down. soft body physics would be really nice
