I just got a Oculus Quest 2 and am trying to boot in up in VR mode for the first time. I'm using a wired connection to my PC, however whenever I try to launch it in VR mode from the headset "VaM (OpenVR)" it is unplayable.

I have a decent PC and realize the game is quite taxing, but it seems something isn't right. I should be able to at least navigate the menu and browse scenes at more than 5 fps and major blur/stutter right?

Any thoughts on what issue I may be encountering?

Try disabling ASW in the Oculus Debug Tool. You can find it in your Oculus software install folder (Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusDebugTool.exe).

1) Connect the Quest2 and launch the Quest Link.
2) Open the debug tool and disable ASW (you have to do this every time you connect your Quest2).

3) Start VaM.
4) Take a look at this: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/givemefps.1367/

Are you launching it through the Oculus App?
Try running it through SteamVR instead and see if that works better.

Personally I use wireless and Virtual Desktop, which gives the best performance I have found with any of my setups.
