That distance between the hand and the face in this clip. What exactly is causing this, and how do i fix it?

Where is that character coming from?
Possibilities :
  • Character morphed so widly that there is a character collider issue
  • Hair (CUA) collision
  • Jewelry/assets (CUA) collision
In any of these cases it's a matter of fixing collisions.

That one is off the hub, but it happens regardless of the source. it's a fairly common occurance, though this one is extreme. It's usually in the face, in particular the jaw in the bottom lip area.

You might want to ask the creators of your "sources" then. This is not supposed to happen and probably (most definitely) tied to the character itself.

So there's nothing i can do on my end?

I told you the three "sources" of collision issues in my first post. If you want to fix this yourself, you can start here.

But what I was refering to above, was the fact that, if you encounter a problem with a specific model, you might want to ask the creator of that appearance. If some of your things are patreon/ko-fi and so on, you actually paid for content, which obviously allows you to ask for support (at least a tiny bit) for it. And here on the hub, there's a release discussion, so dropping in that discussion a couple of question is always ideal as you're asking the person who created it.

I misread. My bad. So other than pulling them up in something like blender or daz, which i have no experience with, i can't fix it myself from in-game or something? because there's some that are old enough the author might've forgotten or lost them.

Nope!

All three can be checked/verified inside VAM. For CUA, you can disable collisions. For the character you can check collisions with the collider editor plugin.

I do believe that could fix my problems. Thanks for that! As someone with no experience in that kind of stuff though, it's a bit overwhelming...
