Closest we had on the forum is two 7900X benchmark results. There is not enough "sample data" yet to jump to any conclusions.
The fastest 1080p-run (low res. to measure CPU speed) came from HiddenSign here.
I honestly expected more, but the faster the CPU get, the more likely the benchmark is running into the 300 fps limit that I posted about in that thread. Big problem to compare high end CPUs properly.
I mean with your hardware and the typically very high VR resolutions the RTX 2080 Ti going to be the bigger bottleneck here anyway. Unless you load a very physics heavy 3+ character scene maybe. Would invest in GPU instead of CPU with that setup.
TLDR: Would not recommend right now.
