Solved Getting VAM to start without the Oculus App

I purchased a Rift S. I have always worked VAM via desktop mode, but now when I start VAM it only works when the Oculus app is on. Unfortunately, I am having Oculus software issues (won't start and now is hung up on set up). I realize I can just unplug the Rift from my PC, but wondering if VAM has a setting where it is not dependent on the Oculus software.

There should be a "VaM (Desktop Mode).bat" in the VaM directory, just use that for launching.
