I see this happen on multiple occasions, the fingernails have a bizarre deformation. Is there a fix for this? It happens with every fingernail 'clothing' option, not just the one in this example.

If the body morph has changes to the nail baked it, you may be able to reverse it with built in nail morphs. Try extending the range of the the nail morph sliders and reduce it down slightly to a negative value and see what happens.
My solution to this is to reset the hands completely. To do this first merge the model as a single morph, use Chokaphis vam to daz software to convert the morph to daz format. Then in daz you can use shape splitter to reset the hands to default before sending it back to vam.
