I made a bunch of morphs in DAZ and VAM puts them all in the "Custom" category. I want to separate them into different categories, so it's more organized. How can I do that?

Open the *.vmi file with a text editor and look for the line:

"region": "Custom",

Change Custom to whatever you want and resave the file.

Or you can go get the standalone utility "Morphology" that allows you to drag and drop morphs from one category to another. I don't think the app has the ability to make new categories, though, so you'll have to make it by hand by altering one morph to use the new category.

It's also a little buggy. It doesn't like it if you try to drag more than a about 10 morphs at once. It also only works on morphs in your morph folder. It wont see morphs in var files.

Best to back up your morph folder before doug any major changes.

Thank you. I think I'm just gonna use SublimeText and use the find and replace function to change "custom" to whatever I want in all files.
